Dislikes- Snobs, wastefullness, seeing the sick, young children with top dollar horses, know it all riders, poorly written books, poorly done movies and poor dancing
Family- Mother, father older brother and younger sister (deceased)
Past- Was diagnosed with leukemia as a toddler and grew up fighting for her life. Eventually at 16 she went into relapse after a kidney transplant at her sister's cost. She then as an adult became a ballet instructor and then took up riding. She competes in dressage with her warmblood gelding Blue's Hollow. She has been and out of relationships and is interested in a new one but not desperate...yet. She has a few good close friends but not many.

Past
Born and raised poor, Melissa had no need to be snobby for what she had. In fact, she was and still is grateful. Her parents fight over and over again, almost constantly. They rub it off on her by yelling at her for doing something that she didn't even do. At age 6, she had ran away, sick of the BS that her parents put on her. At age 7, her parents divorced, but for "her sake" they lived together in the same house. Age 8 was the worst, her parents got into a fight in the middle of the night and cops came there. They found illegal substances and both of her parents were taken to jail. Life was normal, until age 10. At age 10, her mother got another husband, someone who wasn't fit to raising a child, and like Melissa. He had been in trouble for ravishing a small child. At Age 11, her step father tried to.... eh hm.. and Melissa had been smart, having a knife stashed in between her mattresses. It was what saved her. Age 13, she fell under the influence and began to smoke. She had been in two fights, and lost one. The other one, she had won, but only because the girl had walked off. At age 14, she had found a guy and lost her eh hmm. She had been known as a "very *friendly* person" for a while. Melissa had ran away from home 4 times now. she had began to get fed up with life and everyone in it. This year of her life, her mother had bunched up a few thousand dollars that she was saving and got a horse. She thought it would help Melissa gain happiness. And it did, but only a small proportion of love her parents had failed to give her. Melissa now spends her whole day with her horse to escape the yelling and threats she receives at home.
